Club rules
Selection
Full members are always selected to start above associate members and full members are always substituted on before associate members.
If there are more than 14 people available for selection for the squad then full team members will be selected for the squad above associate members.
If a full team member started as sub one week then they will start on the pitch the following week if they make themselves available to play. This does not follow on to subsequent weeks if they do not make themselves available the immediate following week.
If a player has an issue with team selection or substitutions then you are expected to indicate this in person to the team captain.
A player should inform the team manager whether they are available to play by the end of the Wednesday before a game.
The team manager will send the team squad to the captain on the Thursday/Friday before the game (assuming the game is on Saturday). The captain will then select the starting 11 from that list.
If a player is in the squad and fails to turn up to the game then they should not expect to start the next time they play (whether associate or full team member).
General rules
Every full team member is expected to take their turn washing the kit and taking the corner flags, first aid kit etc. The team manager may decide to set up a rota to manage this.
Where possible the captain will give all those that attend the game at least 20 minutes football. Although there are certain circumstances where this will not be possible.
Fines will be paid by the player if a card was given for dissention.
First and foremost we are a bunch of guys who want to enjoy playing football. We value fun, team spirit and fairness above winning.
We want to play good football. We would rather attempt to play good passing football than win and play ugly football.
We believe every team member is important and valued and should be treated as such.
Winning is enjoyable. We will attempt to win all competitive games taking into consideration the above more important points.
We respect those that give up their time to manage the club. Decisions made by these people can and should be questioned if someone disagrees with the decision. But where possible this should be done in person, and in the end the fact that they give up their spare time to run the club for us makes their decisions final.
